SAT Memories

Hey guys long time no talk.

AHAHA. As you know(or don't) it is summer and no where is summer as summery as in southern california. I don't know if I consider this as a good thing since I detest hot weather, but summer vacation has been nice.

Every Summer I usually go to summer school or something of the sort and this year I went to SAT class. In the begging I was pretty apprenhensive about the whole thing. I mean being stuck in a room for five hours with the same people for ten weeks was not my idea of fun. Not to mention we had to take a four hour test every thursday. However, now that SAT classes are coming to a close I have to say I would do  it all over again next summer.(If it were the same people)

I had so much fun in SAT class, it's kind of amazing. I never realized that taking a class would be so much fun. I met so many fun and kind people. Working hard everyday with good people around you is really such a good feeling. In all seriousness I'm going to miss all the people I've met through this class. I cant explain how much I loved this class and the people in it. It's classes like this that make me wish I had a facebook, but then again facebook is just one of the ways that I can keep in touch with the people in my class. I really want to stay in touch with all these people and I have to say I am REALLY bad at keeping in touch, but I don't know.....

Some of the Memories that I will NEVER Forget:

- Laughing until my stomach hurt. Although it was a serious class we were always goofing off and I always ended up with a sore stomach by the end of the day because of how funny the people in my class were.
-Going up on the roof with a newfound close buddy. We've kept it a secret throughout the whole ten weeks. I remember seeing the ladder that led up to the roof and shouting "Oh my gosh we have to go up" and up we went. The moment I was on the roof was amazing. There was music blasting in my ear and wind caressing my face. It was unexplicable. Although going up on that roof would probably get us is trouble if anyone knew.
-Going on starbucks trips. We would run across the street and rush over to starbucks to get our coffee fix.
- Competing over who got the best score and cheering each other on.
- Taking the vocab test and trying to cram all the words in an hour so that we wouldn't have to write sentences.
- Trying to get Jessica, ara, and yoona to laugh.
- Making fun of and watching people blackmail clay and all the other boys in the class.
- Getting closer to the people around me and trying to make them laugh.
-Telling stories about my family to the select few who weren't taking the SAT2C class.
- Ganging up on people with jessica and annie  to make fun of their 'wife' (hahah)
- Pointing out all the weird habits mr Jung has with all the other kids.
- Talking about the old days of ACE

Tomarrow is the last day of class and well I'm super sad, but this feeling will pass and hopefully I'll meet great people at school.(although this is highly unlikely) Anyways tommarow is junior day at my school so I'll be going early in the morning ready for battle. (seriously trying to get a good locker at our school is not easy) Wish me luck!

I really really loved every moment of this class. I hope that wherever the people in this class go they will be succesful.

Best Wishes.

Bye bye.
Gemma

P.S school is starting in 11 days :o (excited? little bit.)

Cravings

Im craving so many things right now. Adventure, New beginnings, A good book, Good Music, concerts, Parties, and Happiness.

I really hope rain will come soon. I know it's summer, but why can't it rain still. Maybe soon? hopefully soon?

The school year is coming to an end and I'm super busy for the summer. I have SAT classes five days a week and art class on saturdays so I can't really do anything. I also have many BIG choices that have to be made. I thinkg it's already pretty much finalized, but we won't know until next month so until then I'll sorta be on edge. Anways, I don't like people who take forever making a choice. I mean if it's a trivial thing like what sandwich you're going to order I can wait. I mean I do that too. But when it's a choice that really counts not only for you, but for the people around you as well and you take months to make a choice I get sooo irritated. I understand that people are trying to think it through so that they won't regret their choice later on, but come on!!

Now that my rants over. I just wanna say that summer is coming and I always get a feeling of nostalgia in this part of the year.

Bye Bye.

My 1460 Cherry Red Smooth Doc Martens

Hey guys a couple of days ago my Docs finally arrived. Getting these online was a hassle, but now that I have them in my hands it was so worth the trouble. This is a review so if you just wanna see the shoe just keep scrolling down.

Sizing:
I originally got the sizee uk 7 based on what it said on the online Doc Marten site, but they were HUGE for me. (I'm a 8 - 9 us based on the shoe). So I had to return them which cost me 15 bucks to ship back. After that I kinda lost my gut on ordering online and what size to get so I waited it out for a few weeks, but I finally got fed up and decided to jsut go for a size smaller. The uk 6 are much better, but still a tad too big. However, I don't wanna pay the frickn return shipping and risk getting a uk 5 only to find out that they are too small.

If you have a DM store near you I seriously recommend you go and try the shoe on first. I unfortunately couldn't do that.

The Site:
The Doc Marten site is pretty darn amazing. It's really organized and easy to navigate. When I ordered my DMs they were free shipping and no tax so it was an amazing deal. When I returned my DMs in the beginning I didn't get a confirmation e-mail, but when I checked on the site It said it had passed so other than that I had no Problems with the Site.

Breaking Them In:
They are actually not that bad to break in. Maybe It's cause they're a bit big or the fact that I've broken in much more painful shoes, but the DMs are pretty bearable when breaking in. I haven't actually totally broken them in yet, but I've worn them to school for a couple of days already and other than one spot on my foot that has a bruise everything went fine. Honestly when you look online at what people tell you to do to break in DMs you'd think they were some super shoe. Seriously, I recommend you jsut suck it up and tough it out.

The Color:
I ended up going with the cherry red smooth, but hey thats just me. I was going back and forth as to whether or not I should go for the black docs instead, but I knew everyone had them and that nice black combat boots are easy to find. I do not regret my decision in the least. I think if I really want to I'll just save up and buy the black ones for myself at christmas. Seriously, the red docs suprisingly match most of the things in my closet. I am so happy I went with the cherry red smooth.

Now with no further ado I present my 1460 Cherry Red Smooth Doc Martens:

Just an Example of how I'd style them. (If you guys want I could do a How I Style Doc Martens Post)
High waisted shorts, an oversized forest green crop top, and a bandeu.

Anyways I've been DIYing a lot recently. Things like bleaching, shredding, and reconstructing. I've always been a crafty, but once summer starts coming around I just want to rip up everything. I'll see you guys laterr.

Bye bye

No Sleep

I got not a wink of sleep last night. No matter how hard I tried I couldn't bring myself to sleep. In the end I just gave up and turned the lights on. I then proceeded to watch an excessive amount of movies and download the songs on those said movies. It's now seven in the morning and it's time for me to go to school. But I want to sleep.

Time for me to:
Wash Face
Brush teeth & Hair
Wear Clothes
Do Hair
Go To School

Tumble tumble tumble.

Bye bye

Randoms

SO, these are my crocs...
They have been making a debut every summer since 8th grade and I have to say I love them dearly. No matter what anyone says crocs are cool in my eyes. Although, people do say I have extremely bad eyesight. I remember the day I got these pretty well. I had missed my 8th grade graduation (as well as the end of the year six flags trip) to go to texas and see my brother graduate from the air force training camp so I was pretty bummed. It was the last day that we were gonna be at Texas and we decided to do some last minute shopping. As soon as I walked in I saw the Crocs store and boy was I excited. (Mind you I had been going on the crocs' site quite a bit, but couldn't take the plunge to buy them and there was no croc store near where I live). Before the trip I was determined to buy yellow crocs. Unfortunately, while at the store I was told that yellow crocs only come in kid sizes that my huge feet would not fit in. So my mom and me settled on these pair and the rest is history. BTW, aren't my little spongebob bobbins cute?

Couldn't resist taking this picture. They look so cool and they are DIY. HURRAH

For those of you who are curious this is my jewelry set up.

Some doodles that I drew.

Oh my geeee. This is quite possibly my favorite shirt of the moment. I can't seem to get enough. The picture is just so funny to me. Have any of you watched Beavis and Butthead?

I love highbuns, especially when I use this doodad to help me do it. It makes my buns extra big and beautiful.
This is a skirt I bought of Urban Outfitters. It's on sale for like 50% off and you can also use a coupon to make it even cheaper. Its actually a skort so it's very comfy.

Sorry I haven't been blogging much. I just finished my ap test on friday so Ive been taking a break. Oh, I also ordered some cherry red smooth docs today and I'm super excited to get them. I ordered them before and they were too big so hopefully this pair fits just right.

Anyways thats all for now.

Bye bye

Something I Made

If you didn't know I take photography at my school and this is just something that came out of that class.

May is in The Air

Sorry I haven't blogged for a while, but I've been pretty busy. I mean it is May.

Which means a couple thingss...

AP testing. Oh the joyss. This years I just have two to study for, AP chem and AP Euro, but it ain't fun, ain't fun at all. I really shouldn't be blogging, but I'm doing it anyways.

Of course no studying is complete without snacks and many bottles of water. (Although admitedly I haven't touched these snacks for a while)

(Thank you holey maker of asprin for it has saved my life on multiple occasions.)

Playing around with lip colors when I need a break. (P.S. can you tell I've been breaking out? :( Stupid stress.)

And of course shameless camerawhorring.

I don't know why, but I haven't been feeling a 100% recently. I keep getting stomach pains and horrible migraines. I have two types of headaches I get. The kind where I feel as though my head is gonna break open (Especially when I move my head suddenly). And the kind where I feel like two unknown forces are squeezing at the sides of my head at the same time.

Oh and my mom is in korea right now. I told her that she should go visit her mother before she gets old and passes away because knowing my mom she would never forgive herself for not seeing her mother before she passed away.

I've been listening to rap these days. I don't really like the hard stuff but soft rap is something I have a weak spot for, especially Kid Cudi stuff. I still remember the day my brother's friend (who is ten years older than me) showed me the song Day n Night and asked me if I liked it. At the time it didn't really suit my fancy, but over the years its become one of my favorite songs.

Anyways this is all I have time for so hopefully I can blog soon.

Bye bye.

Thing to Smile About: April 18, 2012

A few things that make me smile and ponder.

My travel fund piggy bank. If you don't know I have an extreme case of wanderlust. I just want to indulge myself in a new culture and really get to know a place. Whether it be in asia, europe, or south america.  My pastel nail polishes from salley hansen. A few jellies that can be found at any korean supermarket. So much better than jello, but just as soft and bouncy. The candy roses I was gifted for my birthday in march. Finally, a few cows I got in San Francisco a long way back.

Talk to you laterr.

The Beverly Center

Hey guyss!

I went to The Beverly Center on Saturday to look around. The first thing I saw going in, were the pretty escalators. It had decorations hovering in the air that looked like neon mushrooms.

I don't know if it's cause I usually go to Glendale Galleria, but the Beverly Center's atmosphere was really different. It just felt more calm and empty? On the plus side the mall was really roomy and clean. Even the food court was cleaner and had more "classier" foods. Things likes crepes, and stone sandwiches, etc. Other than the lonely Panda Express all the other food court restraunts were foreign to me.

Even the chairs are colorful! LMAO
I bet you guys can't guess what I ate. (Hint: Starts with a P and ends with S) ;]

Even at the ever famous Beverly Center I only managed to find two things I liked, white shorts from forever and a crop top from H&M. yepyep.

(Yes, that is a  scar on my belly. It's from my appendix surgery.)

Hiking...

I followed my mom and her friends on a hiking trip on saturday. It was only a 5 min drive from my house and I really hoped it would be full of rivers and plants, but it turned out to be the opposite. All dirt roads and pretty much no shade until the end. Still, the view at the end was amazing (Still it didn't compare to the view I saw when I went hiking on monday). AHHHHH I wanna go on a hike with a waterfall at the end. Unfortunately I don't think I'll be going on one for a while because Los angeles has been getting rainy weather.

Have I ever told you guys my absoloute love for rain. I just feel like everything is better in the rain.

Rain Rain Hurry Up and Come Again!

Anyways onto the photoss. ;]

The First thing we saw on the hike. A hugee tree.

I was taking creeping photos of my mom and her friends. In my defense they were supppper slow which is why I was able to take this photo.

View at the endd. Pretty right?

Can you find the turtle??

This hike was seriously an uphill battle. No, but really I guess my shoes were shit so I ended up coming down the hike barefoot. I still ended up getting 4 waterblisters. T.T Right now I have like 6 water blisters (2 from monday's hike). Man I needa get new shoes.

Talk Laterr.

Look In The Back...

I went to a friends yesterday and took some pictures of her backyard. Something about it is just so beautiful. It feels very organic. I think the hills in her backyard just give it such a majestic feel.

We  went on a little hike aftewards and man was I tired. I seriously have to build up some stamina if I wanna go hiking more often. Although this is already the second hike I went on this week.
