Sizing:
I originally got the sizee uk 7 based on what it said on the online Doc Marten site, but they were HUGE for me. (I'm a 8 - 9 us based on the shoe). So I had to return them which cost me 15 bucks to ship back. After that I kinda lost my gut on ordering online and what size to get so I waited it out for a few weeks, but I finally got fed up and decided to jsut go for a size smaller. The uk 6 are much better, but still a tad too big. However, I don't wanna pay the frickn return shipping and risk getting a uk 5 only to find out that they are too small.
If you have a DM store near you I seriously recommend you go and try the shoe on first. I unfortunately couldn't do that.
The Site:
The Doc Marten site is pretty darn amazing. It's really organized and easy to navigate. When I ordered my DMs they were free shipping and no tax so it was an amazing deal. When I returned my DMs in the beginning I didn't get a confirmation e-mail, but when I checked on the site It said it had passed so other than that I had no Problems with the Site.
Breaking Them In:
They are actually not that bad to break in. Maybe It's cause they're a bit big or the fact that I've broken in much more painful shoes, but the DMs are pretty bearable when breaking in. I haven't actually totally broken them in yet, but I've worn them to school for a couple of days already and other than one spot on my foot that has a bruise everything went fine. Honestly when you look online at what people tell you to do to break in DMs you'd think they were some super shoe. Seriously, I recommend you jsut suck it up and tough it out.
The Color:
I ended up going with the cherry red smooth, but hey thats just me. I was going back and forth as to whether or not I should go for the black docs instead, but I knew everyone had them and that nice black combat boots are easy to find. I do not regret my decision in the least. I think if I really want to I'll just save up and buy the black ones for myself at christmas. Seriously, the red docs suprisingly match most of the things in my closet. I am so happy I went with the cherry red smooth.
Now with no further ado I present my 1460 Cherry Red Smooth Doc Martens:
High waisted shorts, an oversized forest green crop top, and a bandeu.
Anyways I've been DIYing a lot recently. Things like bleaching, shredding, and reconstructing. I've always been a crafty, but once summer starts coming around I just want to rip up everything. I'll see you guys laterr.
Bye bye
